Please send some new Fall Season pictures taken during practices & games.  We need some UPDATED photos.  Send photos to:  mtrayer@cox.net so they can be uploaded to our new Photo Gallery & Slide show!  Please indicate the Division and Team the photo was taken from.

THANK YOU 2008 SPONSORS!!!

Thank you to all of our sponsors who make this experience for our kids possible!  Please click on the Sponsors link to view a list of all the wonderful businesses who sponsored SMYB this season.

PARKING AT MSP
Pursuant to the City’s request, there will be NO parking on the back dirt road between or behind the fields at MSP. Also, it has come to our attention that some vehicles have been parking along the curb in the parking lot which makes it hard and dangerous for other cars to get in and out. The City has begun issuing citations for these parking “violators.”  Remember, the City of San Marcos has always been good to SMYB with the fields, so please park all vehicles in the front parking lot – ONLY. Thank you for your cooperation.

PRACTICE DRILLS
Here are some suggested Practice Drills in PDF file format for coaches and/or parents to use for improving their kids' skills and practices.

FALL EQUIPMENT TURN-IN
Attn All Managers:  Please turn in your equipment to the Bradley Park equipment bin on 11/22/08 from 9am-11am.  It is imperative that we get all the equipment turned back in so we can get ready for the upcoming Spring season.  If you are unable to make this date, then please have one of the assistant coaches turn the equipment in.  Please direct all questions to Jason Blacklock at (760) 685-1665.

SANDLOT BASEBALL DAY
SMYB will be holding a "Sandlot" Day on Tuesday, December 23rd from 10:00-2:00 p.m. at MSP.  This will be like the "non-organized" form of baseball we all used to play in the streets or any open lot that was available. The kids pick the teams, make the rules, and have access to the fields all to themselves.   Several SMYB board members and coaches will be on hand as supervisors, but the main goal is to let the kids have the fields and make up their own teams, games etc.  This will also be a great time to drop the kids off so you can finish up that last minute Christmas shopping!  Click HERE for more details.

A TRIBUTE TO PATTI GIBERSON
It is with great regret and sadness that we must inform you about the loss of one of San Marcos AYSO’s family members.  Patricia Ann Giberson, a member of the AYSO Board and Staff, passed away on 10/23/08, loosing her bout with cancer.  Patti wore many hats for the region, including Webmaster, Director of Regional Communications and Database Management, and at times a Referee and Mentor.  Patti is survived by her husband Jim and children, Chris and Nicole.

SMYB is dedicated to supporting Jim Giberson and the kids through this difficult time of loss. AYSO has helped set up a memorial fund that will go directly to the Giberson family to help pay for funeral and living expenses. We ask that our SMYB family members show their support by donating a contribution to this memorial fund. You can donate directly to the following account:
